All original c. 1930's vintage American industrial tool & die machinist red oak wood tool chest fabricated by notable cabinet maker H. Gerstner & Sons Co., Dayton, OH. The classic tongue and groove tool chest was designed to protect the delicate precision instruments of the factory machinists from damage and the elements. Original green felt-lined interior largely intact. The fully lockable chest contains a movable front lid or recessed panel that stows under the drawers in the open position and conceals the drawers in the locked position.
